AI Policy

How we use AI in our workflow — and where a human always stays in the loop.

We write about AI. We also use AI. This page is our honest disclosure of where AI shows up in our workflow, and where a human is always the final decision-maker.

Where we use AI

  • Research assistance — summarizing docs, comparing model changelogs, gathering source lists.
  • Drafting help — outlines, first drafts, alternative angles and headline variants.
  • Editing support — grammar, readability, structure, and clarity passes.
  • Image and diagram generation — clearly noted when used.

Where a human always decides

  • Every claim of fact is verified against a primary source by a human.
  • Every recommendation, rating and ranking is set by an editor — not by an AI model.
  • Every article is read, edited and approved by a human before it goes live.
  • Corrections and updates are made by a human editor.

What we will not do

  • Publish raw, unedited AI output.
  • Fabricate quotes, statistics, benchmarks or citations.
  • Use AI-generated images of real people without clear disclosure.
  • Let an AI model decide sponsorship, ranking or editorial coverage.

Data and privacy

We do not send reader-submitted data (contact form messages, newsletter emails, chat inputs) to third-party AI providers for training. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
